Is Leadership Spiritual?

Recently while listening to a message on church planting, the speaker, Darrin Patrick, posed the question to his listeners about whether or not they thought leadership was spiritual.

I thought the question was intriguing, and would like to ask you, the reader, what your thoughts on the subject matter are?

He pointed to a recent interview/debate between Andy Stanley, Pastor of North Point Community Church located near Atlanta, and business expert and author Jim Collins, who wrote the very popular 'Good To Great.' You can read some excerpts from that interview by clicking here.

Do principles of leadership carry over from business life to church life, or even family life for that matter, without any problems? Is leading in a ministry capacity much like leading in a corporate capacity? Hey Pastors...Is leading a church anything like leading a company as Andy Stanley seems to say it is?

I'd like to hear what you think. Is Leadership Spiritual? Can a non-believer be just as effective in the realm of leadership as a believer? If yes, how so? If not, what advantage does the Christian have over him? Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts!
